This diamond sharpening stone set includes fourteen diamond sharpeningplates, with grits ranging from 80 to 3000, that can be used to sharpen a variety of knives and tools. The coarse plates (80 to 240 grit) are ideal for quickly repairing severely damaged blades or significantly altering the edge angle. The mid-grit stones (400 to 1200 grit) are used for sharpening most knives and tools and for refining a dull edge. The fine grit stones(1500 to 3000 grit) are ideal for polishing the edge and achieving a razor-sharp finish. The stones are made from durable diamond material that is resistant to wear and tear, and they come with a non-slip silicone base to keep them in place while you are sharpening.

How to Use
- Soak the sharpening stone in water for 5-10 minutes before use.
- Select the appropriate grit stone based on the condition of your blade. Refer to the following as a general guide:
- Severely damaged blades or significantly altering the edge angle - 80 to 240 grit
- sharpening most knives and tools and for refining a dull edge - 400 to 1200 grit
- Polishing the edge and achieving a razor-sharp finish - 1500 to 3000 grit
- Place the sharpening stone on a flat surface.
- Hold the knife at a 20-degree angle to the stone and slide it back and forth across the stone, applying light pressure.
- Repeat on the other side of the blade.
- Progress through the grits from coarse to fine (as needed), using lighter pressure as you go.
- Rinse the knife and sharpening stone with water after use.
Tips
- Use a light, even pressure when sharpening.
- Do not use the sharpening stone on serrated knives.
- Store the sharpening stone in a dry place when not in use.
- The grit size refers to the size of the diamond particles on the sharpening stone. A lower grit size (such as 80) has larger particles that can remove more metal from the blade, while a higher grit size (such as 3000) has smaller particles that can create a finer edge.
- The stones are typically made from monocrystalline diamond, which is the hardest type of diamond.
- The size of the stones will vary depending on the manufacturer, but they are typically around 6.7 inches long, 3 inches wide, and 2mmthick.
- Some sharpening stone sets come with a lifetime warranty.
